Green bowl/porridge can be made in countless variations. Here’s a suggestion for how to add whole grains to your green porridge. You can experiment with the green vegetables and fruits you have at home. It’s also an option to use the oats as a topping on the porridge instead of blending them in. This recipe meets the whole grain label requirements.

Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1 avocado
- 2 kiwis
- 1 tsp. freshly grated ginger
- 1 big handfull walnuts
- 4 handfuls spinach
- 2 handfuls chopped green kale
- 40 g oats
- 2,5 dl liquid, e.g. cooled herbal tea
Instructions
- Wash the vegetables and fruits thoroughly. Peel the kiwi and avocado, and remove the core from the apple.
- Put everything into a blender and blend until you have a smooth consistency.
- Optionally, top with some chopped nuts, mint, or sliced fruit.
- Tip: The green porridge can be varied endlessly, depending on what you have in your fridge and freezer, for example cucumber, mint, almonds, or berries (remember to bring frozen berries to a boil first).
