Toasted muesli with rye bread

This recipe doesn't meet the whole grain logo requirements, but it's an opportunity to incorporate more whole grains into your daily routine.

Ingredients 

  • 150 g dark rye bread
  • 90 g Coarsely rolled oats about 3 dl
  • 50 g cracked buckwheat
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds 20 grams
  • 50 g pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 50 g raisins

Instructions 

  • The rye bread is grated and mixed with oats, buckwheat, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and vanilla sugar.
  • The muesli is dry roasted in a pan for 2-3 minutes until it turns golden. Afterward, let it cool and add the raisins.

Serving

  • The toasted muesli is served as a topping on fermented dairy products.

Tip

  • The muesli can be toasted in the oven on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Remember to stir the mixture occasionally. Store it in a dry place, such as in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
