Let the scent of cinnamon and apple spread with these inviting muffins for the whole family! Perfect for a cup of tea or to take along on a trip.
This recipe doesn't meet the whole grain logo requirements, but it's an opportunity to incorporate more whole grains into your daily routine. The recipe was developed by Valsemøllen.

Ingredients 

  • 50 g raw sugar
  • 50 g soft butter
  • 2 egg
  • 1 dl buttermilk
  • 2 apples
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 3 dl oats
  • 3 tsp baking soda
  • ½ dl Valsemøllen whole wheat flour
  • 1 dl Valsemøllen wheat flour

Instructions 

  • Whisk the raw sugar and butter until it lightens, then add the eggs and buttermilk.
  • Peel the apples, cut them into small cubes, and add the cubes to the batter.
  • Then add the remaining ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth.
  • The batter is divided into 8 muffin cups, which are baked for 15-20 minutes at 200°C.

Tip

  • These muffins go well with a dollop of 9% sour cream or skyr.
