
Whole grain sausage rolls
Bake delicious vegetarian sausage rolls with whole grain for a kids' birthday party or just for a cozy Sunday with the grandparents. Warm or cold – they taste great. This recipe doesn't meet the whole grain logo requirements, but it's an opportunity to incorporate more whole grains into your daily routine.
Ingredients
- 300 g wheat flour
- 500 g Whole grain logo branded wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 50 g butter
- 4,5 dl semi-skimmed milk
- 25 g Yeast
- 12 pcs vegetarian sausages, or alternatively, regular meat sausages
Instructions
- Warm the milk and butter in a saucepan until the butter has melted. Let it cool until it's just lukewarm, then dissolve the yeast in it.
- Mix the liquid with the two types of flour, sugar, and salt until the dough comes together.
- Knead the dough until it is smooth and place it in a bowl.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise for 1½ hours.
- Roll the dough out to 1 cm thickness. Cut out 24 triangles. Place half a sausage on each triangle and roll them up towards the tip. Brush the sausage rolls with water and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.
